Entry Way Table DIY
So I wanted to add a piece of furniture to the living room
with some color! And couldn't think of what I could add. Then I remember that
my daarling sister in law (English accent) gave to me this little table that I knew had potential.
I had it in our room as a nightstand. It was covered in wicker! Eww!
This was definitely not going to work for my new "chic" inspired living room. So I got inspired.

This busy bee got working and gutted out the table. After hours of hard work, several nicked and bloody fingers, and literally a thousand nail later. I had gutted the table and got rid of the wicker.
I sanded the table down, covered the holes with plaster. Probably should have used wood filler but I didn't have any, sooooo plaster would have to do. Once that was done the fun begun! Painting!! |
I ended up painting it blue with plum-ish purple drawers. But I still wasn't happy with it. Originally I wanted a entry way table with cubbies for guest to have a place for their belongings.

I was determined to add SOMETHING to this table for personal belongings. Then it hit me! Paalleeets!! So I measured out some scrap wood I had laying out back. (Yeah Because I'm that KOOL & CRAFTY! ;-)) Took the saw to it, primed it and painted it with the same color of the drawers. I must say I love the finished look.

So go get inspired and create something new out of something old.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
